چکیده

The objectives of the current study are to investigate concentration, biological risks, chemical speciation, and mobility heavy metals also determination their distribution, physicochemical characteristics, abundance microplastics in coastal sediments edible bivalves Persian Gulf, area Hormozgan Province. Sampling points were selected considering location industrial, urban Hara forest protected areas. In November 2017, a total 18 sediment samples from (top 0–10 cm) most consumed bivalve species region collected two stations, Lengeh Bandar Abbas Ports. average concentration (except for Ni Cd) lower than shale upper continental crust. Enrichment factors revealed significant enrichment Ni, Mn, Cr, Cd As. fractionation using Community Bureau Reference (BCR) sequential extraction scheme indicated high bioavailability Zn, As, Co. general, highest Mo, Cd, Pb, Cu, Hg, Sb was detected areas with frequent human activities including Shahid Rajaee Port, Bahonar Tavanir station. Ports important ports on coast province. Risk Assessment Code calculated elements indicates that Co, Cu pose moderate environmental risk threat aquatic biota. Health risks arising consumption safe, except As which is associated target cancer values. With reference type found, they mainly fibeours lengths ranging between 100 250 μm bivalves. Most microfibers found made polyethylene terephthalate (PET) polypropylene (PP), fibers PP.

Ecological risk assessment using heavy metals from surface sediments of Nayband Bay and Asaluyeh region (Northern Persian Gulf)

The toxicity of heavy metals in sediments of the Nayband Bay and Asaluyeh region and potential ecological risk to sediment organisms assessed. Three stations with different degrees of vulnerability of South Pars Oil and Gas Activities (1: Control - 2: medium affected and 3: severely affected) were selected in the study area. Sediment sampling at each station in both cold and hot seasons (2010) ...

Assessing some heavy metals pollutions in sediments of the northern Persian Gulf (Bushehr province)

Background: Land and water pollution by heavy metals is a universal issue. Although the pollution affects all countries, but its range and severity vary hugely. The pollution of the marine environment by heavy metals is a worldwide problem. Marine sediments can be sensitive indicators for monitoring contaminants in aquatic environments. Methods: The concentration of 10 elements (As, Cd, Cr, Cu...

Assessment of the distribution, bioavailability and ecological risk assessment of heavy metals in the coastal sediments of Qeshm Island (Hormozgan)

Sediment samples were collected from 8 sites in the northern areas of Qeshm Island, Iran to determine the total and partial concentrations of heavy metals including copper (Cu), lead (Pb), nickel (Ni), cadmium (Cd), and Iron (Fe), in February 2016. A combination of nitric acid and perchloric acid was used to determine the total concentrations and sequential extraction method was used to analyze...
